PET TRAVELING CONSIDERATIONS
PLANNING HOW YOU WILL GET YOUR PUPPY HOME!
We are located in Brookville PA. You will want to consider that you will be responsible for all travel arrangements to get your puppy home. If you live close, this won't be a issue. But, if you live far away, you will need to think this through carefully.
TRAVELING BY AIR: If you will be flying you puppy home, make sure you choose an airline with climate controlled, pet appropriate cargo areas and pet friendly travel policies. your puppy will be small so you may be able to find an airline willing to let you bring the puppy in the cabin with you. If you travel this way, remember to bring supplies with you on the plane in case your new baby gets motion sick or has an accident. We are close to Pittsburgh International airport. There is also a small airport in Dubois Pa that's closer to me.
COMMERCIAL TRANSPORTERS: Most commercial transports involves the puppy staying crated for the whole trip. It just is safer for the young puppy not to be taken in and out of the vehicle in a strange place. Listed below are a couple I know. It is your responsibility to call and book the date to have the puppy picked up and delivered to you.
GOCRITTERS, LLC (MARYLAND) 1-301-943-8695
ROADSIDE PLUE (AL) 1-256-970-5044
4PAWS 4 DELIVERY 1-815-742-1087
PERSONAL PICK-UP: Of course you could always come and pickup your new furkid, and take him or her home. In fact I encourage this. Sometimes it's good to take a trip and get away and it can be your big adventure together. If you choose to take this on , there are a few things to remember like us puppies can get carsick, and remember your puppy is not trained it's just a baby. So its important to bring puppy pads, carrier for the trip ,water ,wipes and carsick medicine. You may stop couple times on the way home just a reminder your puppy won't be fully vaccinated so be careful taking it into strange areas where they could catch something left behind by another dog. We really can't stress this enough.
CARRIER'S (CRATES) PLASTIC IS BETTER THEN SOFT ON TRIPS EASIER TO CLEAN THEN SOFT. SOFT IS GOOD FOR VET VISIT'S AND SHORT TRIPS.
PERSONAL PICK-UPS (I REQUEST A DAY AHEAD NOTICE) BALANCE IS DUE AT TIME OF PICKUP . (CASH) FOR DIRECTIONS CAN EMAIL ME AT delpoms@hotmail.com
